A. CUETO is a member of the Florida Bar, and the United States District
Court for the Southern District of Florida. He received his Bachelors
degree in English literature from the University of Miami in 1993
with a minor in Philosophy.
In 1998, Mr. Cueto
received a Master of Arts Degree from the University of Miami
Graduate School of International Studies, specializing in European
and Latin American Business. In graduate school, Mr. Cueto
participated in the Summit of the Americas, where he was responsible
for analyzing the economic policies of the region’s
financial institutions.
Mr. Cueto attended law school
at the University of Florida, and earned his Juris Doctorate
in 1998. While in law school, he was Executive Research Editor
of the Florida Journal of International Law. He published an
article for the Journal centering on industrial oil pollution
in Latin America and how codes of conduct could be used to supplement
the region’s
environmental laws. Viewed as a cutting edge proposition, the
article has been cited numerous times by leading textbooks,
law reviews and journals. Mr. Cueto also spent a semester at
the Universite de Montpellier in Montpellier, France, where he
studied international financial crimes and the French Civil Code.
Mr. Cueto practices in civil litigation, specializing in complex
matters, products liability, professional liability and insurance
defense. He also has experience in trial preparation involving
multinational entities and governments. Mr. Cueto has also prepared
legal memoranda for heads of state.
Mr. Cueto is an active member of
St. Thomas University’s
Human Rights Institute and the Order of Malta, which provides
legal assistance to indigent clients. |
