| Sanjukta Sen is an international business lawyer whose areas of
expertise include commercial litigation, corporate law, and
appellate law. She is general counsel to international corporations
advising them on various business transactions, contracts and
trademarks.
Sanjukta has participated in representing Williams Island, Gildan
ActiveWear, M &A Financial Joint Venture Inc., Kapilow Investments,
and Crown America Development Corporation, among others. Her
practice has covered litigation relating to Unfair Trade Practices
Act, RICO, Civil Theft Statute, Fraud, Tortious Interference, and
Title VII, Sexual Harassment and others.
She is the founding President of SAIKATEY, a cultural association
of people of Bengali origin in South Florida, and an active member
of the Indo-US Chamber of Commerce. Sanjukta is also an active
participant in SAHARA, an organization that assists Asian women in
distress, especially those who are victims of domestic abuse. While
in India, she worked with Mother Teresa at her orphanage- NIRMAL
SHISHU BHAVAN.
Born in Calcutta, India, Sanjukta is fluent in English, Hindi,
and Bengali. She is a graduate of Presidency College, Calcutta (B.A.
Honors, 1982), Florida International University, Miami, (B.S. High
Honors, 1986), and University of Miami School of Law (J.D. 1989).
She has interned for Judge Kenneth L. Ryskamp at the US District
Court for the Southern District of Florida, and with Chief Judge
Gerald B. Cope, Jr. at the Third District Court of Appeals. Sanjukta
is admitted to practice in Florida and the District of Columbia. |
