Patricia Montes de Oca serves as litigation counsel for both corporate and individual clients. Ms. Montes de Oca has experience practicing complex commercial litigation in both federal and state court, and has defended or brought cases involving contract disputes, business torts, violation of Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, intellectual property disputes and other civil litigation matters. Ms. Montes de Oca is member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Florida.
Ms. Montes de Oca earned her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was a member of the Jessup International Moot Court Team. Ms. Montes de Oca served as judicial intern to the Honorable Donald M. Middlebrooks, United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Ms. Montes de Oca earned her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College and attended L'Institut d'Etudes Politiques and L'Université d'Aix-Marselle in Aix-en-Provence, France.
Ms. Montes de Oca is involved in community service and through the Volunteer Lawyers Project has worked pro bono defending the Constitutional rights of clients. She is a member of the American, Miami-Dade and Cuban-American Bar Associations. Ms. Montes de Oca is fluent in Spanish and French.
